Twistleaf Land Design

Twistleaf is a land design & build studio dedicated to creating beautiful landscapes that honor the ecology of the Texas Hill Country.

Owner Sarah Yant came to us with the name intact: Twistleaf. It is inspired by the twistleaf yucca and its resourceful nature to use its spiraled leaves to funnel water to the center of the plant, allowing it to survive long droughts with little water available. The next step was to bring her crystal-clear vision to life. As a seventh-generation Texan, she knows intimately the beauty and resilience of the native flora and fauna and has worked to cultivate that in her projects. We were inspired by her passion and wanted her brand to honor that. We developed a wordmark that emulated the pointy characteristics of the yucca plant. The new identity draws its personality from the subtle strength of the yucca.
